Avantex will bring business to TTI within speciality fireproof, abrasion resistant and ballistic materials.

Mattress fireblocking protection

Tex Tech Industries has developed, manufactured, and tested barrier fabrics composed of Basofil, Modacrylic, and Visil fibers. In addition to providing excellent fire barrier performance, they are easily incorporated into the mattress manufacturing process, and do not detract from appearance or comfort. Tex Tech has partnered with Culp, Inc., one of the two largest producers of mattress fabrics in North America, to provide fire-blocking layers to the mattress industry. Tex Tech Industries fire blocker layer was tested in a standard mattress configuration via the CAL TB603 Test Method. The Blended Fiber product resulted successful.
